AutoIt v3.3.16.1

lwc on 7 Jan 2024
  • 29MB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 19 Sep 2022
  • Suggested by Klaatu

AutoIt is a BASIC-like scripting language designed for automating the Windows GUI and general scripting. It uses a combination of simulated keystrokes, mouse movement and window/control manipulation in order to automate tasks or perform user interface testing.

Users new to the program are encouraged to read an introduction (thanks guinness.)

Note: the outdated (from 2012) AutoIt Portable allows you to create a portable environment of SciTE4AutoIt3 and AutoIt together, as well as cleaning AppData and opening the program editor with sample scripts (also thanks to guinness).

A 64 bit version is available (within the folder).

Category:
Runs on:WinXP / Vista / Win7 / Win8 / Win10 / Win11
Writes settings to: Application folder
Stealth: ? No. Every time one compiles a script (at least through SciTE=>Tools=>Build) it creates the folder "%LocalAppData%\AutoIt v3\" (specifically "%LocalAppData%\AutoIt v3\Aut2exe") for temp files. But since the files are temporary (only existing during compilation) the folder is at least usually empty. See bug report.
Unicode support: Yes
License: Freeware
How to extract:
  1. Download the ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice.
  2. Launch AutoIt3.exe or AutoIt3_x64.exe (for 64 bit OS).
  3. Optionally download an enhanced version of the built-in editor.

v3.3.16.0

Pendrive on 2022-12-02 21:23

v3.3.16.1 released some time ago (19 September, 2022).

Mawg on 2023-10-17 09:26

I downloaded this and the linked portable SciTE4AutoIt3. I put the latter into a subdirectory of this (named SciTE4AutoIt3), and when I run `AutoIt3.exe HelloWorld.au3` from the AutoIt directory, I get a pop-up "It Appears AutoIt Portable was unable to load the SciTEGlobal.properties". How do I configure things?

RClipStep v6.07.008

RClipStep is a clipboard manager emphasizing ease of use with a simple approach to cycling through stored clipboard items: when you paste Ctrl-V to paste, you can hold Ctrl and press V / C repeatedly to browse backward / forward through the clipboard entries.

The program also features multiple queues and can store clips to disk, convert clips to plain text, convert to upper/lower case, and paste clips into programs that don't use clipboard like window console (cmd.exe).

A 64-bit version is available (within the folder). Written in AutoIt

Except Clipjump 64 bit version went AWOL, contrary to RClipStep -- and, BTW, RClipStep appearance preceded Clipjump, at least here at TPFC...

avi-aryan on 2014-05-07 13:34

@Midas Here is a test release of Clipjump x64 exe. http://sourceforge.net/projects/clipjump/files/beta_versions/Clipjump_11.2.3_x64_test.zip/download
It was not complicated adding 64-bit exe but I want to know that it works.

Isn't creating an installer counter-productive to portable freeware?

SYSTEM on 2011-05-09 08:06

@SYN: Well, AntiVir isn't portable anyway. :( If you want to begin using AntiVir, you have to either use the official installer or create a customized one by using this app.

I personally am creating a customized Windows 7 install disc that will install not only Windows but also some non-portable applications such as Avira AntiVir.

That's where ASC comes into play. When I launch the customized installer with the -y command line switch, the installer just installs the program without asking any questions. That's called an unattended install.

Similarly, I've found ways to install unattendedly almost all applications I'm willing to install. As a result, I don't need to watch my computer when the programs are being installed. :)

Minime is a tool that allows you to minimize applications to the system tray using a customizable hotkey (by default CTRL+ALT+Z). What makes this tool somewhat unique is that it keeps your system tray clean by minimizing all applications into a single tray icon. Minime-ized applications do not appear in the Alt+Tab menu.

Functional in 64-bit. Written using AutoIt.

If the icon disappears (this *occasionally* happens when Explorer acts up in Win7x64) don't run Task Manager and End Task. Your hidden windows will not return. The trick is to RE-RUN Minime and, when prompted, click "OK".

I see that many people use this to declutter their desktop, but I like to use on my work computer when I'm plying my game and I don't want my boss to see it ;-)
