I gotta agree with @smaragdus its up to the anti-virus developer to correct their mistake naming something as malware or anything bad when in fact it is not! I have used this software for quite some time and really like and its easy to use & works great.

There is a v2.6.21, only for x64.
"same as 2.6.20 with x265 encoder fixed on win64"

Love this software to do quick edits (just cutting out a clip from a longer video), or to convert file types (avi->mp4). If the codec remains the same it will be done in seconds!

Aegisub v3.2.2

lwc on 23 Mar 2021
  • 18MB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 8 Dec 2014
  • Suggested by CodesAway

Aegisub is an advanced subtitle editor that allows for many advanced effects in the subtitles, apart from basic timed text. It works natively with the Advanced SubStation Alpha format used by many players and editors including Avidemux, Media Player Classic, VLC and others.

Note: The 64-bit version is not recommended even on 64-bit versions of Windows. It does not include support for Avisynth, is often slower, and has had occasional bugs not present in the 32-bit version.

Category:
Runs on:Win2K / WinXP / Vista / Win7
Writes settings to: Application folder
Stealth: ? No. Creates an empty, "Aegisub" folder in /%APPDATA%/.
Unicode support: Yes
License: BSDL
How to extract: Download the self-extracting Portable Version to a folder of your choice. Launch aegisub32.exe.

Optional: To save space during the install, you can choose "compact installation." This won't include any additional languages (only English), debug tools, automation scripting or automation 3 backwards compatibility, and won't include any spell checkers or thesauruses (not even English).
