How to extract:
  1. Download the ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice
  2. Create an empty text file within the same folder
  3. Rename this file metapad.ini
  4. Launch metapad.exe

Have been using Metapad and then Metapad360 for 15+ years
The range of text formatting tools are amazing.
My fav is "quote" Alt+Q, which inserts your custom string at col.1 of all selected lines/paragraphs/pages. Notepad++ does a similar thing BUT not all in col.1 ... Metapad makes it much easier to spot the "quoted" lines.
I am using "'o" , without the quotes, as my quote string.

Forget to mention the "stickies" feature ...
