qimgv is a customizable image viewer with optional video support. It supports basic image editing such as crop, rotate and resize, as well as copy / move operations of images to different folders. Supports modern image formats JPEG, GIF, PNG, APNG, RAW, MP4, WEBM, etc.

The program aims for an uncluttered user interface, i.e. you see UI elements only when you need them. There is a pull-down panel with thumbnails, as well as folder view (accessible by pressing Enter). You can also bring up a context menu by right-clicking on an image.

Cross-platform with clients available for Linux and written in Qt.

Xlideit Image Viewer bundles an image, document and video viewer with a basic graphic editor. The interface is customizable to show groups of thumbnails and subfolders. Edition tools include crop, rotate/flip, convert and tag viewer/editor. Includes additional options to generate slideshows.

Note that at first launch, the program launches full screen and opens any images on the desktop.

Format support: views most common image formats as well as Photoshop, PCX, TIF, WMF and TGA. Video formats include MPG, MP4, WMV and AVI while document preview is limited to HTM, MHT and RTF.

messages from my HIPS:
'Xlideit.exe is about to get low level access to keyboard.'
'Program Xlideit.exe is trying to read the keyboard state which is how some keyloggers function. It is recommended that you block this action.'

I created a permanent rule in order to prevent these actions and it works just as well.

nomacs is an easy to use image viewer with basic edit features and folder preview. The program includes image manipulation including rotate, adjusting brightness, contrast, saturation etc. and includes a pseudo color feature for creating false color images. It will even synchronization multiple instances to allow image comparison of the same position on different images.

The program can view images inside archives or MS Office files.

Clients also available for Linux, FreeBSD, Mac, and OS/2.

ArtSage is a lightweight image viewer that displays the image files in a folder tree. The program includes a slideshow, layout, collage, favorites, and transitions. It can rotate the view, find file names in a series, rename, and more. Format support includes BMP, EMF, GIF, ICO, JPG, PNG and TIF files.

The program can even create an automated slideshow, where the EXE is placed together with all the images for display from storage media (CD, USB memory stick etc.). Launching the EXE will immediately display the images in slideshow mode.

@smaragdus, EXIF metadata (rotation at least) is a planned feature, judging by the Github issues page.

If any devs out are there feel like adding support for it I'm also sure the author would welcome it :)
