Re: File name database?
Can't figure out how to get it to work. It seems to index based on drive letter not volume name.joby_toss wrote:You can index the devices one after another...just give them different names.

Re: File name database?
Ok, IndexYourFiles could be cute, however since I want it to index USB drives, it doesn't seem to work when there can be many different drives on "E:"
Or is there a work around for that?

And it works under Windows 7?crownixx wrote:I also don't know Portapotty configuration style. But i think it is better to fresh build back the JauntePE portable application package rather than having headache thinking on how to transfer the old format to new format.

Re: File name database?
Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll look into them
Btw, I forgot to add it should be able to search index of something which is not online - not sure if that disqualifies any of this, but I guess I'll find out

File name database?
Anybody know of a program which will scan drives and build a database of the file names?
So you can later browse the names (not the content).
And it should be automatic, not by entering data manually.

Portapotty
Was JauntePE the replacement for Portapotty?
And if yes, is there someway one can transfer a portapottied app to JauntePe?
For some reason portapotty doesn't work under Windows 7
(Edited to change someone to someway - shouldn't type when I'm too tired)
