actually upgrade to 3.0.7pl1 that has the easy access button to enable quick reply for all forums instead of manually setting it for each forum. and the recaptha settings are are module included with phpBB now all you need is your recapthca api key and to change it from gd to recaptcha

also change the captcha settings to use recapthca, help's reduce spam and install this modification both I found very effective against bot spam http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/mod/daropl_antispam/

actually quick reply has been with phpBB3 since 3.0.6 (latest stable being at 3.0.7pl1) it's under the posting options in the admin cp (most of my sites usually use phpBB3 so I do know my way around phpBB3 :P) and in there you can enable quick reply in all forums or by manually editing each forum yo...

PChat will not work with older versions of gtk unfortunetly since I make use of the latest (at the time of 1.0.3's release gtk version 2.16) and 1.0.4 will be using gtk 2.20 so by far win98/NT support will never happen, why use a dead obsolete operating system, it's like asking for trouble security ...

I'm glad you all like PChat, PChat 1.0.4 will include some new updates, (updated gtk update, added support for freenodes CAP command (The CAP command will list all client capabilities that are available to the client) etc).

took me long enough >_< the kernel was the longest part on starting a new system, got to make sure all kernel options I needed were selected options I needed for my hardware were selected etc, next step was getting x11/gnome compiled and setup too, needless to say it took a long time, and through th...

I have no problem with ubuntu, probably because mine is compiled from source including my kernel and desktop environment I would say my ubuntu is a cross breed of gentoo and ubuntu.
