I got curious after reading this comment.
Browsers are listed alphabetically. For bonus points, list why / other browsers used.

I just knew that would be my comment.webfork wrote:I got curious after reading this comment.
Why Opera? Because most of the features you see in today's browsers are thanks to Opera's ingenuity, not to mention Opera Turbo is big help for those who have a slow connection. Plus, if the guy who proposed CSS works at Opera, you know you have a company who cares about how we view the Internet.
Re: Browser choice
Gee, guinness, you do sound like an extreme Opera fanboy...
Re: Browser choice
I'm secretly hoping they will ask me to join their task-force.

Whoops, spelling mistake from before.
Re: Browser choice
My vote goes to Firefox.
No need to explain the reasons. 30% of the users already know why.

Re: Browser choice
Are you referring to browser usage? FF market share is declining at a rate of over 5% a year in the past 2.5 years. Your statement should read: now only 30% of the users think they know it all.lautrepay wrote:30% of the users already know why.
Re: Browser choice
I'm also using Opera. I used Chrome and Firefox at least half a year both but came back to Opera as they didn't satisfied me. Another reason was my moderate hardware: FF-Chrome slowed down the entire computer after an hour.
I use FF-Chrome portable versions for webdev and testing, and I also have virtualized IE6-7-8 at hand.

Re: Browser choice
Firefox, for 2 reasons:
-It's the only browser that works OK with 100+ tabs
-Its extreme flexibility lets me improve usage efficiency way above the competition.

Re: Browser choice
Firefox because nothing else is equivalent yet (With add-ons.)
I regularly launch 1 different browser (almost every day) and use them for 1/2-1hour a day.
That said updates are crazy and I dislike many new features that copy other browsers.

Re: Browser choice
I've switched back and forth between Opera and Firefox over the years. Opera's quality assurance has really been lacking in their last few releases though I still use it on occasion; I've been using Pale Moon as of late.
is it stealth?
Re: Browser choice
Opera for everything except youtube, when I use Iron. My youtube experience with Opera is beyond awful! I sporadically use the other 7 browsers I have, just so they don't rust...
Re: Browser choice
Pale Moon / Waterfox + addons, mostly, so my vote goes to Mozilla-based...
Re: Browser choice
As I've written here:
My secondary browser is Chromium.SYSTEM wrote:Opera web browser is feature-rich, fast and rock solid. In addition, its user interface is highly customizable: you can freely edit the content of most toolbars and move nearly any toolbar to any side of the window.
