There are tons of registry editors in the market , but which one has the fastest search ?
I have tried RegScanner and RegSeeker from http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?sc=160 but the searches are quite slow (3x) when compared to Registrar Registry Manager which on the wrong side is a payware and shows a bad popup when using the free version .

The fastest I came across is Registry Workshop (by Torchsoft) but it is payware.

Thanks for your suggestion but it's still slower (almost 2.5x) than Registrar Registry Manager and also shows less results.

Guys, just wanted to let you know that a registry editor RegMagik had bugs in the old version 4.9.10 due to which it crashed. Now v4.9.15 is released and the bug is no more. RegMagik is fast and free . You should try it from the link.

Edit: Is it portable ? It is downloaded as a .zip archive but I see it creates an entry in LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\REGMAGIK

- Registrar - 11 secs
- Registry Commander, RegSeeker and Reg Scanner - about 30 secs
