Please excuse my ignorance and please be gentle!
I've just installed Wubi/Ubuntu on my laptop alongside Windows XP Home.
Are portable apps that I've got on my USB stick compatible with Linux OS?
Can portable apps be run on Linux or do I need to look for portable apps that have a 'download Linux version' facility? As I said, I'm new to Linux and couldn't find anything specific here about it.
Thanks for your help.
Richard.

You may install Wine in your Linux Ubuntu (select the appropriate binary):
http://www.winehq.org/
and then you may consult in my page a list of apps that will run in your Linux Ubuntu (and some other that will not):

Lets us know if you succeed
