VLC - portable? not quite sure

VLC - portable? not quite sure

Hi,
Yesterday I cleaned up my registry and I found there surprisingly qite a lot of vlc entries - do you have the same experience?

I use PortableVLC from portableapps.com and have not found any registry entries that pertain to settings or preferences. Yes, there are registry entries but those are created by Windows, not by the application itself (for things like file associations, filewall exceptions etc. etc.)

I think the same applies to the original VLC application, the only difference being that the portable version is optimized for use with flash drives (i.e. compressed in size and possibly reduced reading/writing of the drive to extend drive life).

I don't even think I've used VLC at all since I found KMPlayer. MPUI is my primary fallback in case of problems. :)
