Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

Torxy - anonymous proxy

#1 Post by webfork »

Another interesting Tor program to route individual applications or all system traffic through Tor. Although it's closed-source and the home page is a little light on details, I love the concept of having individual program shortcuts setup with Tor. I can definitely see other projects integrating this capability.

Fortunately some of the Softpedia screenshots suggest that it blocks Microsoft connections, important as it makes no sense to do any system update work via Tor (would either take a very long time or fail).

As any tool that modifies system traffic, it probably requires admin.

Status: Untested. I'm listing this in Submission as it could get into the database, but I'm currently happy with the similar Advanced Onion Router http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1958

Torxy is not portable, it creates Torxy folder in AppData (C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Torxy) which contains tor sub-folder plus hosts and settings.ini files.
