Mini Explorer

I did search and nothing came upso here it is a tiny and pretty annoying explorer replacement.

Someone may like it.
It doesn't write any settings at all, it has no settings to write ;(

The download page says you may need MFC42.DLL to run it.
On XP SP2 I did which numps it's tiny 32KB up to 381KB.
That's UPX'd with LZMA too, oh well.
It's still pretty small.

You sure know how to sell a product.

[EDIT] As a mod I feel a bit of obligation to be more helpful, but the program you pointed out looks so damn dull that I can't really get any motivation to do anything about it. I mean, with such fantastic software as UltraExplorer and TabbyFile (minimalist but not to the point of shunning positive additions), do we really need a lackluster explorer replacement? I've always pondered this - should the Portable Freeware Collection be an all-inclusive guide that even has "that one thing someone's cousin wrote that looks a lot like tetris" or should we focus on the exceptional software?

(Remember the Apple and Pear Diet Calculator? :P)

mfc42.dll comes as standard in all windows versions since 98, so most people won't need it anyway.
BTW Eweynes's FileMan is much more powerful and compressed takes 42 KB. I still recommend bigger things though. :)

I tells it as I sees it :P

Just to add, I tried the second version too and........ *sobs*
It's supposed to be user configurable, you can choose different icons and........ *sobs*

I'm not sure if it'e better or worse.

m^(2) Thanks for the link, I only wanted something tiny just to open several separate panes on like explorer.
I'm not giving up my freecommander for it

Is that anything to do with London stairs?
I doubt I could eat a whole landing

Actually tabbyfile and UltraExplorer can both do dual-pane, though obviously UltraExplorer is a lot bigger (and does a whole helluva lot more). The Apple and Pear Diet Calculator was an interesting little guy that basically took some info from ya and told you what you're shaped like: an apple or a pear. That's pretty much it.

Actually I didn't want the dual pane.
I'm currently using a43 as a single pane, multiple instance as the default folder manager with my UTBox.
It's working really nicely as I can have multiple movable windows ala explorer (yes I like unusual setups)

I was just looking for something tiny that would so the same thing, without any extras, but smaller.
Am I making any sense?

Just tried fileman but way too many reg entries.

I do love Tabbyfile, but 2MB is bigger than my whole shell.
Ideally I'd like something under 50K
