FreeUndelete

Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

I've used this before, I don't think it's portable but I'll give it a look anyways. Can't possibly replace DataRecovery, though.

actually i really searched for it, but i typed: free undelete
instead of freeundelete (one word)
so my search come back with "0" results
but i promise to be more careful from now on

You'd better, otherwise Andrew will send the boys round to install loads of software on your computer and shred all the portable apps! :twisted:

And by "the boys" he means me and my cat. And we won't shred the portable apps, we'll just delete your beloved .ini's and .cfg's. BOW TO US! :lol:

Old thread update: this program got a strong rating in a comparison over at FWG between various different recovery tools (including the also-excellent Recuva).
