So I'd like to talk about SHOUTcast:
While I was searching for a solution to this problem, I found this page (Control VLC via a browser):
Enter this address: http://127.0.0.1:8080/ and you'll be able to control VLC from your browser (I tested it only on Firefox):
You'll prolly see a few NEW buttons like this magnifying glass
Hover your cursor over this glass and you'll see a popup menu, choose Shoutcast radio listings:
Now vlc will draw a lot of radio stations (by category) directly from SHOUTcast:
In the future version 9... (DO NOT DOWNLOAD - IT IS VERY UNSTABLE - YOUR PC WILL CRASH - IT IS A VERY BIG RISK TO TEST IT IMHO (Thanks!))

you'll get the list from the following menu: though vlc9 can't play it for some reason?!? (nah! they'll fix it in the future )
