I like Xye a lot - http://xye.sourceforge.net/ . It's based on the shareware puzzle game Kye, which is a bit like Sokoban or Boulderdash. You need to gather all the gems to finish the level, but you need to push aside obstacles before you can do so.
It also lets you create your own levels, and it loads the original Kye levels too.
As a bonus, it's cross-platform, so you can play it on Linux, on BSD, on the Mac, etc.

That reminds me: for those who like this sort of game, there's a very similar one (also stand alone exe), not as beautifully looking, but with some different obstacles and "weapons" and other exciting levels and its own charm.
It's called "Good Boy" and is from a Russian site:
http://zgs.de.ms/
There are three more programs to get there that are stand-alone utilities:
TablePro, a data base program
Checkers, using various international variations of the game
Copier, "useful" copying utility (found, I had no use for it)
Maybe one or the other can make it in the database.
