VSDC Free Video Editor

#1 Post by webfork »

I tried to get this running portably without much luck.

Requires DirectX 9

Steps:
  1. Launch installer
  2. Uncheck when prompted to create an icon or associate project files with the editor
  3. Copy the folder VideoEditor from C:\Program Files\FlashIntegro
  4. Uninstall the program
  5. Launch VideoEditor.exe
Status: Unknown. Program never actually started; got a corruption msg

Update: I finally got back to testing this, in the installer version of course as the portable effort so far breaks the program.

Not terribly easy to use, screen recording tool was pretty good. Adding on screen text was something of a chore and there aren't many options. Other tools seem to have loads of settings and customizability but I got frustrated pretty early on and set the program aside. Probably not worth re-testing or otherwise making portable.
