I don't know but I suspect based on what I'm seeing in this article that google is classing sites with HTTPS with higher ratings:

It shows "No posts" again. As far as I can remember I have never seen this before the migration to HTTPS.

Very strange. I tried all the various stats/forum resync functions in the admin control panel, nothing works to getting the last post stats updated.

So I posted a test reply to one of the threads, last post stats was updated correctly. Deleted my test reply, last post stats was updated correctly as well.

I also tried posting a new test topic. Same thing. Deleted test topic. Last post stats was updated correctly.

The database fields are very simple. Each forum has fields for last topic id, subject, date/time, poster id. The only code that touches these fields are in the posting module, which also takes care of post deletion.

So in summary, something is setting these fields to null, and I don't think it's due to the migration to https. Because if it is due to https, all the forums will be affected and not limited to one particular forum. Perhaps database corruption and/or some phpBB bug make a certain sequence of actions cause this result. We need to be find out how to reproduce this issue reliably before this problem can be resolved.

The workaround currently is for a test post to be posted, then deleted, which will reset those fields.

Hopefully things on this have cleared up over the last month. Thank you again for going this route, despite the trouble. I suspect it will prevent issues before they happen.
