USBWebserver
As mentioned in the name: a webserver on USB (stick).
Like the other packages this one has also:
Apache, PHP & Mysql.
Also included: PHPMyAdmin.
When started, the icon sits in the systemtray, from where you can open:
-ConfigFiles (Apache, PHP, PHPMyAdmin)
-"localhost"
-the "root" map
-PHPMyAdmin
-PHP info
The website is in dutch, but the package can be downloaded in English over here: http://www.usbwebserver.nl/site/pagina/Download.html
grts Sandokan
keep up the good work!

I'd like to have a look at this app, but I have difficulties with the download. I have only an analog connection, and their servers do not support resume. It's unlikely that I can stay connected without interruption for such a big d/l - could someone host this (temporarily) on a resume-capable server, pls?
Many thanks
Chris

Downloaded and ran this Web server. Looks quite good! Initially, Apache's configured to listen on port 8080, but this is easily changed to port 80 (if you want), so http://localhost works without specifying a port. When initially getting info about the server, it shows warnings that the MySQL admin pass isn't set yet, opening a potential security risk. Great that it informs users of this!
Controls are easy, and it runs right out of the (unzipped) box!
Although this may not technically be considered an app, Uniform Server is listed here, and this may make an appropriate addition.

Re: USBWebserver
Note about the license: the site isn't clear so I contacted the author. He says the program is and will remain closed-source, despite its open internal components. So I guess its officially "Freeware".

Re: USBWebserver
For a portable USB webserver you might also want to try MoWeS:

Re: USBWebserver
I tested MoWeS a while back and experienced a few problems, forgot exactly what, but maybe it's time to re-analyse.
Re: USBWebserver
Old topic update: USBWebserver is currently v8.6 (changelog and download at http://www.usbwebserver.net/en/download.php).

USB Webserver links to USB Network Gate Downloads - 14 day trial
https://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1185
FYI: Link for USB Webserver goes to a page for USB Network Gate Downloads (version 8.0.1859) which appears to be a different product with a 14-trial.
I couldn't find any links to other software downloads on the page. Assuming USB Webserver is no longer being developed or supported?
Best Regards,
Bill

Re: USBWebserver
Hello everyone,
In 2011, I created a website in PHP, but I had to abandon it due to other projects. Recently, I revisited the site and found the web server USBWebserver v8.5 with PHP 5.3.9 online (https://www.usbwebserver.net/webserver/), so I decided to try it out. The site worked correctly.
Subsequently, I wanted to test how it would behave with PHP version 5.4 using USBWebserver v8.6. It generated some errors that I proceeded to fix, and the site started working again.
Given the success of these two steps, I wanted to check compatibility with PHP 5.6. I then tried the web server USBWebserver v8.6.1 (https://usbwebserver.yura.mk.ua/), but it doesn't work: MySQL starts, but Apache does not. Despite many attempts and checks, changing some parameters, Apache still won't start. What could have happened? How can I resolve this to continue updating the site?
The USBWebserver v8.6.2 package works correctly but uses PHP 7.1, which is too advanced for my site. Can anyone help me understand why the USBWebserver v8.6.1 development environment isn't working?
Thank you for your help!
Mimmo
