Had real trouble working with this. Not really sure what it's supposed to be doing. I'd enter a color and then it seemed to let me type in that same color and it would add the RGB values. Then sometimes it wouldn't.

Anyway, as I couldn't figure it out, I'm going to call it "unintuitive". Could easily be that I didn't try hard enough. Tested under Win7x64.

Did you try it with MS Paint or with other software?

I tested it with PowerPoint 2010, which I'm now using on a daily basis. Is it really suited for MS Paint-like color managers?

In theory it could work with most color pickers but sometimes the color controls don't have any control ID and their order is not consecutive. In such cases PasteColor will fail.

I cannot test with PowerPoint 2010 but with v2007 it works fine, only with a small glitch. The color is not reflected in the color diagram. Hitting OK will use the right color as color codes are OK.

Try setting "Force setting alternative send method" in the Settings, sometimes it helps with non MS-Paint like color dialogs. And apparently the issue I mentioned above is also gone.

Edit:
Here is a small screen capture, hope this helps:

- there was a systray tooltip with the copied color code which LICEcap was not able to capture
- the last color is a hex value (234111, aka #234111)

That is helpful, thanks for doing that. Might give that another shot.
