Old topic update: Clibor's yet another entry in that quintessential software category, the clipboard manager. This Clibor comes out of Japan and claims native portability on top of an impressive array of features and functionalities -- not the least of which is the use of regex and a (previously unseen) ability to instantly change to FIFO/LIFO mode (for explanation, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIFO).
By using Clibor, you can actually manage the history of things you have saved to the clipboard (text). You can also register phrases you use a lot as Set Phrases and send them to the clipboard at any time. Clibor has a lot of different settings you can change and is very customizable.

Clibor latest version (v1.4.4) can be downloaded from http://www.amunsnet.com/soft/clibor-en.html.

BTW, Softpedia review is at http://www.softpedia.com/get/Office-too ... ibor.shtml.

@Baas: shortcut collisions might be solved with the help of portable freeware ActiveHotkeys from Ethervane (32 bits only; http://www.tranglos.com/activehotkeys/) or payware Hotkey Commander (http://hkcmdr.anymania.com/; also has free Windows Hotkey Explorer).

I've seen a number of programs try to do the intelligent clipboard thing so I wanted to test this out. Is it text-only or does it support complex formatting?

I still don't get this. What does it do?

Color themes look pretty sharp. I like the encryption bit in case you use the clipboard for passwords.

I haven't tested Clibor thouroughly, but just picture having some kind of copy and paste workflow where you'd copy multiple items first and then paste them somewhere else following the order they were copied in -- that would be FIFO, I guess...

FIFO / LIFO changed via context menu or CLI param

example:
Selecting and copying 3 letters 'x' 'y' 'z' using <Ctrl>c
in FIFO mode <Ctrl>v will paste 'xyz'
in LIFO mode <Ctrl>v will paste 'zyx'

Simple and effective

Also note the options on context menu to:
Insert " before and after each line
Insert consecutive numbers starting with 001 at the start of each line

like it

Excellent tool- I have been using it for months together with ArsClip, but for pasting 'Set Phrases' it is much easier and handier.

Respect for this one. What a fantastic catch. The whole team at work is using it now. Snippet of code are flying with this software. So So So useful. Thanks MakoSoft.
And the ability to instantly change to FIFO/LIFO mode is a MUST for us when it come to electronic encoding.
Tested and approved by a bunch of crazy robotic engineers,

We all agreed at work: this is how a clipboard manager should work, it does answer all our needs for code purpose. We managed also to pass on clipboard info from on PC to another PC via the network. The last one with one of our in house tool creation. We are also considering to donate to the author to encourage him/her/them to encourage the development of this software. What is very rare in my company. That is how good is this software so far.

If you need a vote to add it to the collection: you have mine.

Last but not least: Thanks this forum to exist, since my recent join-up I found it very good to bring to light most of the best free portable software product on the published market.
This was no flattery but a fact.

Have all a nice day.

I totally agree that Clibor deserves to be included in the database. One more thing- it is extremely light, lighter than my other favourite, ArsClip- the only clipboard manager that I have tested which uses less memory than Clibor is CLCL. I suppose that you might be interested to have a look at one more similar program- Ethervane Echo, which has also been discussed here in the Forum.

Is the current Clibor utility actually speaking English to anyone?
Dialogs in the just downloaded 1.4.9_en1 version are exclusively Japanese; it's all double-dutch to me... :?

I am also testing Clibor today and I think it is a great clipboard manager.

@_philippe: I had no problem with the interface language, it's in English. Downloaded the same .ZIP file.

@Ennovy: Thanks for your confirmation. (and please forgive the double-dutch jest  )

Mystifying case: obstinate Japanese-only interface on two distinct machines, under WinXP and Win7... :?:
