I searched in the forums for both Nirsoft and RegHiveBackup but didn't see what I was trying to learn. I downloaded their RegHiveBackup zip file, extracted and ran the RegHiveBackup.exe file, which appears to be an installer, but it immediately pops up a dialog asking for a password. I tried my Windows username password, then found from a google search that the installer password for Nirsoft is nirsoft123. Well there's an exclamation point at the end of that line so I don't know if it's part of the password. I tried it both ways but I can't get any tried password to install it.
I read a Microsoft article where they sneakily removed the automatic Nirsoft registry backups. Maybe it's just a mechanism for them to wipe out your registry. They say that after Windows 10 version 1803 their "recommendation" is you use System Restore. I swear they just keep getting greedier and worse over there.
Does anyone know how to get past that password dialog?

This one works fine for me on my latest Win10.
