Qemu Manager (Qemu GUI frontend)

Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

Qemu Manager (Qemu GUI frontend)

#1 Post by Pim Borst »

[Mod Note: for lack of better option, the present is the official forum topic for Qemu Manager (https://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=640); related posts merged here and OP subject amended for clarity, original was "Qemu Manager v5.0 is out".]

Hi

Qemu Manager v5.0 is out:

http://www.davereyn.co.uk/

David Reynolds did a great job!
The user interface greatly improved.

The zip-file includes Qemu 0.9.1 which supports the VMware SVGA II driver in the virtual machine running Windows. This should boost graphic performance. Can't wait to try it! Tom reports success:

I had trouble running 4.0, but this one works great. And with Kqemu installed it's pretty fast too (I didn't try any of the VMware drivers). Great solution for a portable VM.

Qemu Manager 6

#4 Post by ravedadave »

Hi All,

Hope you don't mind me posting but have noticed some of your members use it.

Qemu Manager 6 is now available for download at
http://www.davereyn.co.uk

Due to the major changes in this version, I am unable to provide an upgrade to
this version, I know some users wanted this but I had to weigh up the upgrade vs feature
option.

Additions include:

* Full hardware support for video/sound/lan cards & CPU Types
* Full support for other emulation platforms i.e. Mips/arm/sparc etc...
* Full USB support including USB Drives
* Configuration of multiple network cards/serial & Parallel ports
* Full User Manual
* Support for different VM Stores
* Enhanced Qemu Manager Client with fixes and a detachable QEMU Monitor
* Support for different audio libraries.
* New update system, which can alert you when new versions are available
* Fully updated website now I have moved web servers, including source code download.

Along with above lots of bug fixes and user requests.

Now I feel I have the inner workings correct, I will ensure an upgrade route in the future
(Permitting QEMU is not changed completely overnight!)

I want to make a special thanks to zfeet for all his help and support during the development
of this version and all his assistance with the QEMU soruces.

Please note I did not have much time to proof read the user manual so sorry for any grammar/spelling
mistakes!

I have checked out the program as best I can, so I am hoping you a bug free experience,
but please drop us a message if you feel something is wrong,

Many Thanks.

Dave.

WARNING! QEmu Manager Website Hacked

#5 Post by castman »

 :o
People should use now QtEmu instead!
Or learn how to use QEmu without a GUI.

Just to complete: QEmu 0.11.1 is the best portable for any OS DOS solution, and VirtualBox 3.1.2 is for XP+.
