The instructions on this site for this application state that you should copy files from the installed directory onto the portable drive. This does work, but the application can actually do this for you.

Here is how:

• Install FastStone Image Viewer and run it, clicking through whatever intro screens appear.
  Choose the menu item Settings->Settings
  On the bottom of the Viewer tab, there is a button labelled Create Portable Application
  Click this button, click Yes, then choose the folder where you want to install the portable app.

I thought this was a great idea on the part of the developers of this app, and hope to see more applications do this.
