Firefox x64

As you know they have a x32 bit version only, so for those who have x64 bit system this can be somewhat disappointing. BUT if you head over to http://wiki.mozilla-x86-64.com/Firefox:Download they have an unoffical x64 build. An important point to make is only x64 bit plugins are compatible with x64 Firefox.

Note: This is UNOFFICIAL BINARY, so DON'T report a bug to https://bugzila.mozilla.org/ & I haven't tested by replacing Firefox Portable (x32) binary files with x64 version, but in theory it should work without a problem.

OK. I'll try it.

Edit: it works beautifully! So fast! :)
But the thing is...the portability becomes an issue when you can't run this on 32 bit machines...

I'll try to find some compatible extensions, but I think this is a very early stage in (Namoroka) FFx64's life...

Brilliant! Those who think they can use this on a x32 bit machine, shouldn't even have a x64 bit machine in the first place! Personally I think x64 requires alot more technical knowledge, especially if you want to get the best out of your machine. Especially when you have to deal with Program Files (x86) (%PROGRAMFILES(X86)%) folder and custom batch files containing %PROGRAMFILES%!!

Adobe Flash Player is not supported for playback in 64-bit browsers. Flash Player will, however, run in a 32-bit browser, running on a 64-bit operating system.
bummer... :(

Weird! I thought they had a native x64 version of Flash Player out now, never paid attention until now. Did you try V10.1.53.55 RC 5, which is currently hosted on FileHippo or AdobeLabs, it says the x64 will be enabled.

Actually yes. The problem is that it supports 64bit OSes, but not 64bit browsers.

OK, Well at least you still have HTML5 <video>! I am looking forward to when Opera release a beta version supporting WebM.

The error of the missing DLL (MSVCR100.dll) has been fixed. GHacks So you don't need to download Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64).
