File Navigator 1.71 from http://www.relaxander.webest.net/index.php?id=1 seems a very good file manager indeed, and I've used it quite a bit over the last couple of months. To ensure it keeps its settings in the program folder, select the option Commands / Configuration / Compatibility / Store configuration in the INI-file.
Now, the program itself is entirely in English, but the website is in Russian!

Re: File Navigator and FN file viewers
I have just commented in the File Navigator entry but would like to query those who may not visit it.
Has anyone tried the file viewing dlls?
("FN file viewers: Set of modules to view files of different types in the FN window")
These were not previously mentioned in the application entry or this thread.
The application website does not mention where to install.
They may or may not work at the application root.
They may or may not be portable.
To skip the Russian page if you have trouble reading that here is the English page link: http://relaxander.webest.net/index.php?lng=en
Then click on the link 'FN file viewers'
