Hello, Here is the Locate32's forum post where its author (Janne Huttunen, i believe) explains how to make it "more" portable: http://locate32.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=54 Go to Options/Settings/Databases and edit your database path to look something like this: %locatedir%\joby.dbs...

I am a big "fan" of Locate32 so i might not be as objective as i should! It uses [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Update-portable] registry values but after you close the program this is gone (it creates portable.reg file in its own folder). Unicode support: I don't have any reason to believe o...

There will never be a special application written just for this!
Why not use the quick filter of your file manager (*.lng) ?
Why not search with your preferred file searcher for *.lng files or anything else language files are named (not always .lng extension) ?

There is also an usb version of Teach2000 on their page:
http://teach2000.memtrain.com/install_t ... hp?ver=usb

If you're not so much into portability, you can also use QuizFaber from http://www.lucagalli.net/en/ . I use it for a long time now and i'm happy with it. It makes html quizes.

Ciao!

Hello !
The software looks nice and performes well !
Is there going to be an option to import pictures from digital cameras (and maybe with optional renaming based on exif data, or grouping pictures in folders based on exif date) ?
I could use a portable application that can do this.
Thank you !

How is this portable since it saves all the settings to Application Data/Q-Dir folder ? Is there a workaround or something ?
And yeah, the application has great potential, thanks.

You could try Trust-No-Exe: "Trust-no-exe is a executable file filter. It attaches to the operating system and filters all executable files, be it .exe .com .dll .drv .sys .dpl etc from all drives and all network shares against a list of files or paths, you, the administrator provide as trusted...

How about Total Text Container?
Has graphics too!
You should give it a try; needs a little bit more work but it's on the right track!

Sad to say there is no special trick... It does not work for me either.
Maybe the bug fixed in v1.3b2 (ID 1553503) made a comeback? Or something close to that? I didn't notice this before but i can confirm it. (win xp home sp2 on hp nx6125 laptop).
