The day after I posted this Packt switched their free learning offer to a 10-day trial of their related course site, Mapt. Presumably it's for the festive season period, and after that I hope they'll switch back to a free book a day.

I use DEFAULT and RegHives open just fine. No need to rename anything.

Update on this: Partha has stopped building Darktable after v2.0 (see 2nd post from top on partha.com ). He didn't state why, however it seems to stem from the apparent hostility of the darktable devs ( more info ). Anyway, it's quite sad ... The good news is that Partha has made the Windows source...
