Added to the database: https://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=3104 Please vote! As far as I can remember, this is the first Java app I have encountered that doesn't "feel" like one. Starts fast on my old laptop and runs smoothly. The whole she-bang is >250MB on disk, so it might not be every...

Re: Photo Magic AI
Don't think the system requirement was specified on the website, but when I tried to run it, I found out it is dependent on the Vulkan API, which means if you need to be running a newish GPU in order to use this program.

Re: Upscayl (Graphic Resolution)
Vulkan compatible GPU required.
There is a workaround to use CPU only under Windows and Linux, but I bet this will make the processing intolerably lengthy.

Tested to be portable.
Settings saved in Data\Settings\GottCode\Tetzle.ini.
No registry entries created. Appears to be stealth.

Re: cPicture (image file manager)
On my system (Windows 10), I was able to make it portable by simply creating an empty file called cpicture.config before running the EXE. All settings were written to this file, including the font. It looks something like: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <Configuration> <...

Re: Freeware vs Shareware (historic note)

I thought shareware by definition involved some form of time, or content-limited demoware.

Re: cPicture (image file manager)
Thanks to a comment by Ennvoy, there appears to be a v3.8.8 of cPicture, available at:
http://cpicture.thecloudsite.net
I downloaded and tried it. Seems to be fully portable and freeware.
