Hi! many months ago Darkbee had the same question, but nobody found an answer!

It would be great to add such an application to the Database...

Please, before starting, search other threads to see what apps have been rejected!

Just to add my two-pennyworth ...
One of the best available labelling programs is actually portable. It does not modify any system files, and installation just copies two files to your hard drive, a program file and an art database. It can even run from a CD. It is DISCUS available from ...
http://www.magicmouse.com/h_discus_detail.html at $39.
Just to see what you could have for the money try out the Demo! It really is brilliant.
I assume that actually you're after freeware.

In my database I have notes on :

1. UndercoverXP from http://www.undercoverxp.tk/
This is a program to easily print CD and DVD covers. It supports JPEG, GIF, PNG and BMP formats and can automatically scale front covers, back covers, front + inside, inlays, DVD Boxes, Digital Pictures and CD/DVD labels to the correct sizes.
2. eCover from http://www.esoftware.it/eCover/
eCover is a FREE media case-covers search/editing/printing software.
Among other features you can ...
- Search several web sites for covers (all types: DVD, Audio, PS2, PSX, Gamecube), and directly load them into eCover
- Autoconvert covers from DVD (standard) format into CD (front+back) or Mini CD/DVD (front/back)
- Load, autoresize and print covers in CD (front+back), DVD (standard), Stomper, Mini CD/DVD formats

I have not tested these for true portability as they are no use to me personally. I need to be able to print the actual CD and neither of these has that ability.
I actually use Surething but I keep thinking about migrating to Discus.

Further to my last comment, I subsequently came upon another program quite by accident.
This was Digitally CD Label Xpress.
This can be downloaded from (eg) ...
http://www.download.com/Label-Xpress/30 ... ml?tag=pub
The download is described as a 'Lite' version.
If you google for a Home Site, chances are you will find yourself at ...
http://store.cd4sale.com/dicdlaxpso.html
This site suggests that it is Shareware but all the 'general freeware sites' imply that it is freeware. There is no registration/nags within the program.
It looks pretty effective to me.
And it looks portable!
