Re: DVDStyler Portable Edition
DVDStyler has been portable (natively) for awhile now; there are 2 installers at the SourceForge site:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/dvdstyl ... dvdstyler/
DVDStyler.exe and DVDStylerPortable.exe
Both are actually installed and the ONLY difference is in the ISS installer script which foregoes the registry (Portable version) and instead creates an INI (DVDStyler.ini) with the following code:
I have tested both install > copy folder to portable directory > uninstall
and
Extract (UniExtract) > copy contents of 'app' folder to portable directory > create DVDStyler.ini with code above
Resulting folders are identical
Launch DVDStyler.exe
~Ruby

DVDStyler updated to 2.9.4, 2.9.5 and 2.9.6. Should entry be changed regarding Ruby's researchings?

Re: DVDStyler Portable Edition
@webfork: The question is (and that's what billon is asking), should we switch the database entry from the PortableApps-version to the native version (which could be made portable according Ruby's post)
Re: DVDStyler Portable Edition
Yes, based on the conclusions we came to back in this thread, we try to list the natively portable versions first unless there's a problem with it. The short version is that some people prefer not to use wrapper programs and we're not really aiming to be a copy of PortableApps.com.Checker wrote:@webfork: The question is (and that's what billon is asking), should we switch the database entry from the PortableApps-version to the native version (which could be made portable according Ruby's post)
