Shark007 Codecs [64bit Portable]
Re: [Shark007's] Portable Codecs
There was some application instability during large operations such as using RESET ALL and Restore Settings.
I have fixed these issues in current releases.

Re: [Shark007's] Portable Codecs
All Portable releases have a new feature!
An option to move the configuration settings to the Application folder. The ini along with the saved configuration files can be relocated to the Application folder. Look on the Config TAB.
When clicking to use the Application folder, ini_loc.txt is created and subsequently used by the App for restore features.
As long as ini_loc.txt is located in the Application folder, that location will be used for the configuration files.
______________________________________________________
Suggested setup for Deployment.
On any computer, start the Application.
Make any changes your deployment will require, such as disabling subtitles or whatever.
On the Config TAB, set the location of saved files to the Application folder.
On the Misc TAB, choose Save ALL Settings
Close the Application.
In the Application folder, delete the settings??.ini file.
The next time the Application is started without this ini file, it will automatically setup everything as it was when you Saved ALL Settings.
DO NOT include this ini file with your deployment setup. Only include the one in the .\settings\ folder.
The Codecs folder is ready for deployment.

Great new feature!
Re: [Shark007's] Portable Codecs
A new feature of interest to system admins is a notification of failed silent updates.
The feature is displayed in the upper left of the Help TAB
A successful update check will also reset the tracking.

Well, isn't that a first?
Re: [Shark007's] 64bit Portable Codecs
I've added a Windows MCI player as a basic function of the GUI.
This player can handle 4K files.

Re: [Shark007's] 64bit Portable Codecs
My latest adventure had me combining the ADVANCED and STANDARD releases into a single, unified release.
With the deprecation of the 2 previous releases,I present the "Shark007 Codecs" debuting @ version 18.0

Re: Shark007 Codecs [64bit Portable]
Thanks Tomxe.
I wanted to update this thread to say that for the past month I have been entirely focused on improving stability within the Settingss Application.
If you were disappointed in the past, you really ought to give it another shot.
MajorGeeks always has the latest version.
