Portable app launcher that sits quietly in the systray. Once you hit the hotkey, it jumps up and presents a small (totally configurable size, position, color etc) box on the screen for you to type something (a predefined alias) in.
Say you are working in Word and want to launch the Win calculator. Just type cal and this app will pick up the rest of the word (autocomplete) and hitting enter will launch it for you. Just give this app an alias and a path and it will launch/open apps or folders for you. You can also provide various launch options for each alias as required.

This is the first app that goes onto my computer. I have set the hotkey for TypeAndRun to simply the press of an Alt key. It has completely changed how I navigate my computer.
