Would using an Internet radio streaming app such as Xion or Screamer Radio be harsh on a flash drive ( read/write cycles)?
They are both excellent apps

* Tidy some rendering code a little
* Modify fixed URL playback so that it streams instead of downloading the whole song
* Add CTRL+U to the shortcut list for the playlsit
* Fix freeze when adding many items to the playlist comes to an end
* Remove Context menu from Library
* Fix playback of tiny files such as short .wav files
* Ensure that trans_ layers don't re-show themselves if they've been told to hide via action_layer_hide
* Fix activation state changing when simply showing right click menu on skin
* Remove uninstall command line from portable edition

* Fix crashes when playing .cda tracks
* Add 'Get More Skins!' button to the Skin Browser

* If the visualization that is drawn on the skin has the 'Random color' disabled, it will use whatever colour the skin author has chosen for the visualization layer
* Don't fade the _Down layer in, only out, so that you get to actually see the _Down if you click quickly

Ive been using Xion for a week or so now, and I love it. I have made my own custom skin for it, and the total size of it is now 1.31mb. I love the fact that you can just use it from the tray if you dont want an active skin too, usually when im on my computer im multitasking like a complete idiot. I'll typically have firefox open, word open, photoshop open, and before I got Xion I'd also have folders of music and windows media player open. But the open directory feature on Xion is perfect for me.
I think it should be added to the database.

Damn I feel pretty nervous about it, cause I told to the creator to build a portable version of Xion in order to get more uses into it... I feel "pretty" bad

I think so too. It should be in the database. its really cool.
The only think i dont like aboutr xion is its crappy playlist but what a hell...
its fast and more flexible than other portable ones

holy crap, this thing is awesome.. i made my first skin in under 2 minutes. it loads instantly too! kudos to the author.

Well, I've tried this again with the latest update and it still likes to shit in my registry.
Am I wrong in thinking there is no reason to add the extensions into HKLM/classes?
I really want to use this I've found some great skins.
I WANT A NICE DESKTOP!

I take that last statement back.
I spoke to the author and he says that he archived up the wrong exe in the portable archive.
All done, I'm happy now and I now have a nice Nokia to play music on my desktop.

I saw Local complaining for the past two (or three) days about the registry... (and researching how to solve this)
But I'm glad Local got Xion to work as he desired to. =)
Btw, funny comment, I love'em!!: "it still likes to shit in my registry"
