Free Virtual Keyboard

#1 Post by Checker »

Free Virtual Keyboard works on any Windows based UMPC with a passive touchscreen (Ultra-mobile PC, Tablet PC and Panel PC).
Also Free Virtual Keyboard allows people with mobility impairments to type data by using a pointing device.

Tested: Portable

But it open the main site at the start, so create an empty ini file called FreeVK.ini and add the following...

Code: Select all

[Main]
Site=1

Yeah I ping'd the editor behind that change and was waiting to hear back. I generally try to avoid tools and devs that start out freeware and add junk in later, so I'm hoping it was just a mix-up.

It open the main site at clicking "About"
There is link to another trialware keyboard program in the context menu
Advert and link to the same program in "Settings"
How is that not adware?

It's a freemium not an adware. Don't blame the software for your stupidity. In the about and the settings page it has links for the free and the paid app. It clarifies that. They try to make you upgrade, first time you see that?

Reasonable people can disagree on what constitutes adware and what constitutes freemium. I agree that this is an edge case. Resorting to namecalling does not change minds.
