It does show that, but the download I'm getting is still v7.8...avi-aryan wrote:The homepage is http://avi-win-tips.blogspot.in/p/clipjump.html and it clearly shows v8.4.

Add Clipjump to the DB and pray
Re: Clipjump : Multiple Clipboards Manager
Yeah, I thought of that, but no can do -- the site download link is a Google short url (http://goo.gl/tUi4K) that resolves to a Dropbox download (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/116 ... lipjump.7z), through which I always get the same package, even with a different browser (or wget in a console window, for that matter)...I am Baas wrote:@Midas: Browser cache.
Re: Clipjump : Multiple Clipboards Manager
I've just downloaded clipjump from its homepage download link and got version 8.4.
The dropbox download resolved to https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/116 ... lipjump.7z which is the same location that Midas reported. Could you be downloading to one directory and extracting clipjump from another?

Re: Clipjump : Multiple Clipboards Manager
Okay, i saw the page and it looks much complicated for me as many details are required that i don't know.
i will rather ask @avi-aryan for doing the job for i am sure he is interested.
Re: Clipjump : Multiple Clipboards Manager
It definitely is the cache, some download managers dont redownload a link [by default] if it has already been downloaded, they just see the status of that link the Downloads list, if it is downloaded ; they show the file has been downloaded.Midas wrote:Yeah, I thought of that, but no can do -- the site download link is a Google short url (http://goo.gl/tUi4K) that resolves to a Dropbox download (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/116 ... lipjump.7z), through which I always get the same package, even with a different browser (or wget in a console window, for that matter)...I am Baas wrote:@Midas: Browser cache.
I have seen the file and as @Craunch said, it is v8.4 . What is the size of .7z file you download ?
It should be 523kb for v8.4 and about 800kb for v7.8 .
Thank you ! I am definitely interested on a listing here.apph wrote: Okay, i saw the page and it looks much complicated for me as many details are required that i don't know.

Re: Clipjump : Multiple Clipboards Manager
Why did you list gdiplus under "Dependencies"? Also, I changed the "Stealth" status to Yes.avi-aryan wrote:So, I have added Clipjump in the db

Re: Clipjump : Multiple Clipboards Manager
Thanks, got my vote too
When I first saw the Paste dialog I was sold. I think an animated gif showing this feature would be more beneficial than a screenshot of the clipboard history window. After all, this is what makes ClipJump different than other similar applications.
Is there any way to disable the "Admin rights warning" on launch? (besides running it with admin rights of course )
This prevents launching it silently.

Re: Clipjump : Multiple Clipboards Manager
gdiplus is required for clipboard image capturing but as it is native to all system which are +XP , mentioning gdiplus may be pointless.I am Baas wrote:Why did you list gdiplus under "Dependencies"? Also, I changed the "Stealth" status to Yes.avi-aryan wrote:So, I have added Clipjump in the db

The animated gif is certainly a good idea, I will try to create one.
I did some googling and found that the reason I was showing this message was incorrect. So, I have changed the exe and reuploaded it with the Admin message disabled (now will be shown only one and only if you are a new user of Clipjump). As this was almost a zero change , I haven't changed the version. If you feel like, download it.tproli wrote:Is there any way to disable the "Admin rights warning" on launch? Re: Clipjump : Multiple Clipboards Manager
thanks for the no-admin release, i needed it sometimes at work when i was not given admin privileges .
Re: Clipjump : Multiple Clipboards Manager
Can anyone add it to the db, I am not able to do this.
Re: Clipjump : Multiple Clipboards Manager
It is more informative but a bit fast for me. Perhaps a general demo (without advanced stuffs) would be enough for an intro, and each advanced features (remove formatting, cancelling paste, removing clips, export, etc) could be demonstrated with new GIFs.
Btw, you can use LICEcap for the capture:
http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/ ... 20&t=14454
The icon on the systray would look better without the white rectangle (outside the red circle).
I can help you with this if you need (please tell what format/sizes you need).
