I don't think this has appeared on TPFC.

Juice lets users select and download shows and music and play whenever they want on their iPods, portable digital media players, or computers automatically.

It is primarily a Podcast manager.

Last version (V 2.2) was in late 2005 so not much development.

Files are extracted by UniExt and (from memory) $COMMONFILES placed in the main folder.
I THINK it's portable. There is definitely a portable version available but that is French.

I tried it a few days ago and remember that it left a lot of files on the host PC.

Haven't tried the portable version, though.

The portable juice you mention here still writes files into the application data foler on the machine - the databases and feeds files in particular.
synclosure can be used from a portable device as well as mypodder too if you need something like that.

Its a pity juice development has fell apart. it was a great product.

(mypodder requires subscription)

Since our podcast category only has one app, I decided to look for others and Juice was already on PA.com, so I decided to add it here as well.

Will also look for other podcast apps in the meantime.
