event in the file view. If prompt_to_edit is set to false the full

used in the hex viewer can be different from the default text

* The configuration compiler supports true/false values for numeric

* Pressing ALT '0', ALT '-', ALT '=' in any path input event will
bring up the drive, recent and bookmark selects respectively.
* The hex viewer supports the Edit command in Text and Dump views
which will execute the VIEWEDIT environment variable (set to the
editor_program) on the current file. The VIEWPOS environment
variable will be set to the current file location.
* The quick macro selection window (ALT 8) is now always sorted.
* The windows close (top right cross) and shutdown messages terminates
the application (Windows XP).

* Pressing CTRL A in all input events will preform an arithmetic
evaluation of the current string. Supported operations are +, -, *,
/ which represent addition, subtraction, multiplication, and
division. Only 32-bit signed integer types are supported. Valid
examples of arithmetic strings are:

-89*-99 + 123 / 5 (1786)

* CTRL F8 does a partial untag if a successful operation was
preformed on that file during the last tagged event.
* Pressing CTRL L, CTRL U in all input events will lower, or upper the
case of the current string.
* Clicking anywhere in an input event string will reposition the
cursor to the mouse position.
* The hex viewer is now a 32-bit application (H32.EXE).

* Added the atomic delete option to the prune directory event. When
selected the branch is deleted as a single object on drives which
support this operation. If this fails the tree view may require a
refresh.
* Changed the delete directory command to prune the entire branch if
that branch is completely logged. It will no longer fail if the
branch contains files.

* Added the macro options prompt (CTRL 8) with the following
functions:
* Custom error messages (E) which can be used in macros to give
diagnostic information.
* Macro playback will no longer stop if only the ALT, CONTROL, or

the current executing macro.

* Hotkey macros can be written to disk by pressing CTRL H, W. The

smart mode which preprompts the repeat count with the current file
or tree row number.
* Added macro_directory to the configuration file. Macro files stored
in this directory with the .mac extension are displayed in the Quick
Macro selection window (ALT 8). Selecting an entry will execute the
corresponding macro.
* Pressing the A..Z keys (either shifted or unshifted) in any history
window will jump to the next entry starting with that key. If no
matching entry starting with that key is found the next entry
that contains that key anywhere in it's name is selected.
* The SPACE and SHIFT SPACE keys moves the cursor down and up
respectively in any history window.
* Added white_space to the configuration file to define the characters
to treat as white spaces for the CTRL LEFT, CTRL RIGHT, and
ALT BKSPACE commands in all input events.

* When using the Make sub-directory or Treespec events the '/' key is
automatically translated to the '\' character, even if pasting from
the clipboard.

* Added the option to search by text, hex or unicode by pressing F4
during a search event. Valid examples of hex strings are:

null 20 terminated 20 string 0 (mixed text, hex string)
Only a simple ASCII to Unicode expansion is supported.
* Added the option to toggle the search case by pressing F2 during a
search event.
* Added the Always, Never option to the Automatically Replace Query
for both the Copy Tagged and Mirror events. Selecting Always will
automatically replace all files including read-only files.
Selecting Never will never replace any existing files in the target.
* Incremental history saves. When running multiple instances history
data is refreshed upon saving. This means a newer instance is less
likely to completely overwrite an updated history file.

* Pressing CTRL+SHIFT L in all input event will lower the case of
the current string. CTRL+SHIFT U will upper case the string.
* The name for the batch file associated with the file open command
is now taken from the long form of the filename's extension i.e
instead of using JAV.BAT you would use JAVA.BAT.
* The filenames in the audit history window are now properly quoted
if they contain spaces.

* Added the option to delete files using the windows recycle bin. When
deleting files or pruning directories pressing F4 toggles the
recycle bin option. The default state can be set using the

Deleting to the recycle bin only works on fixed drives, removable
and some RAID drives are not supported.
* ALT W in tree view allows the recycle bin to be emptied. (Windows
2000 or Windows 95 with IE 4.0). Seems to reset the recycle bin
settings under Win 98.

* ALT 9 in tree and file view displays an audit history of file copy

* When using the SHIFT A..Z keys to select a file or directory and
there is no matching entry starting with that letter the next entry
