Requires dotNET 3.5. Up to version 4.4.0.2971 and supports 9 languages.

I'll move it over to the submissions thread, just because this freeware has been around forever and works with a lot of drives, as well as HP's lightscribe technology.

64 bit Portable version crashes... unable to test.

CDBurnerXP is a free application to burn CDs and DVDs, including Blu-Ray and HD-DVDs. It also includes the feature to burn and create ISOs, as well as a multilanguage interface. Everyone, even companies, can use it for free.

I think it writes to the registry because my installed version settings remain intact

Current version is at v4.5.7.6389 and both 32bit and 64bit versions are available

I am surprised it's not on TPFC already

Andrew rejected it earlier because it depends on the .NET Framework. viewtopic.php?t=7371

Because of the voting system, .NET apps are no longer completely banned. You can add it to the database yourself if you want. If you do so, post a link to the entry in this thread.

Long ago I used CDBurnerXP and I liked it despite .NET. Has anyone tested the latest version of CDBurnerXP- 4.5.7.6389, for portability?

Topic update: CDBurnerXP v4.5.8.7042 released 2019-03-24 (changelog at https://cdburnerxp.se/pt/development?full).

FYI, minimum DotNET requirement is still 2.0.

Since CDBurnerXP 4, we use the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 as basis for our application.
