I personally like FLV Extract:
http://moitah.net/

Plus side is it also extracts the movie as well!

It's very tiny compared to FLVtoMp3.

EDIT: Might require .NET 2.0... I have it installed on my com so I can't tell if it works without it.
is it stealth? ;)

Thats a good point on the .Net element, looking at the SourceForge site it doesn't say if FlvToMp3 requires .Net.

FlvtoMp3 does not require .NET
But: FLV Extract is looking for "mscoree.dll" (microsoft .net runtime execution engine) :!:

I use winff for this, so really anything ffmpeg based will do this (usually with out need of dependencies)

Just looked into WinFF.

FLV Extract (and I think FlvToMp3) does not transcode or convert the audio; it retains the original file format, so no loss of quality!

Because I'm a fan of choice, I've added FLV Extract to the DB:
http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1590

It's small, but requires .NET Framework 2.0 and it's not stealth.

Vote it up if you like it.

i use this mp3 ripper, very simple - just drag your video onto it and the sound is ripped off

I dunno about the program as compared to FlvToMp3 but there's lots of interesting info on that thread -- thanks for posting.

FlvToMp3 finally put out an update 1.2.1

http://sourceforge.net/projects/flvtomp3/

Leaving it alone because an increasing number of FLV files I've seen are using AAC-encoded audio and don't want to take the chance that it's re-encoding. Using TAudioConverter instead.
