Re: AdvancedWinServiceManager
I can't run this one. I think it is a 64bit related issue.
Re: AdvancedWinServiceManager
Strange! Doesn't mention anything on the Website of any related issues.I can't run this one. I think it is a 64bit related issue.
Re: AdvancedWinServiceManager
Did anyone manage to test this application on a 32bit OS to see if it was 100% Portable?

It is a 32-bit application. joby_toss means it doesn't run on a 64-bit OS (I think).guinness wrote:Did anyone manage to test this application on a 32bit OS?
Re: AdvancedWinServiceManager
I meant test in that if it was Portable. It was bad wording on my part.

Re: AdvancedWinServiceManager
Doesnt create any folders and it doesnt make any
application specific registry entries.
oh my goodness..I only have 16 services running...how do I survive
I think I will stick with ServiceView tho
just cuz the name is shorter

Re: AdvancedWinServiceManager
At least my initial post has been confirmed the program is Portable. Thanks Napiophelios.
Re: AdvancedWinServiceManager
It should be noted, to be effective (ie stop/disable services) it requires Admin rights.

Updated the DB entry. I think there is a problem with the voting system because it's still only on 5 points.
Re: Update to AdvancedWinServiceManager info v6.0
Please update info:
v6.0 portable process. current as of 2020 Dec 7th
1. Download zip fron site, unzip it (I used 7zip)
2. Then run Uniextractor on, in the resulting folder (made by step 1), the "Setup_AdvancedWinServiceManager.exe"
3. In the uniextractor tool made resulting folder (made by step 2) you will find "disk1.cab"
4. Unzip, with 7zip, "disk1.cab", inside THAT folder (made by step 3) you will find the "AdvancedWinServiceManager.exe", plus the docs/help url link
You may delete the url shortcut/rtf docs & UPX compress exe to 1580kb in size (FUPX v3.1 settings: Ultra brute, lmza, strip/compress all BUT 1st icon)
* Remember to run as admin!
This is one of the few (only?) https://securityxploded.com/ tools that is still not "ad/nag" ware, in its current version
I Can supply pre-made files for upload/download, as process is not novice friendly

Re: AdvancedWinServiceManager
(MILD level/Easy bypass) WARNING:
The MAIN installer has trackers (open candy) built in according to AV scans(V.Total)/uniextractor scans
Bybassed by using my portable process, best method I found in above post

Really recommend against anything from securityxploded. They had a lot of great freeware tools in line with nirsoft, but definitely not worth your time and energy.aazard wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 11:04 am This is one of the few (only?) https://securityxploded.com/ tools that is still not "ad/nag" ware, in its current version
