Qwertick - add keyboard sounds

#1 Post by joby_toss »

Qwertick is a small and simple utility that makes a keyboard sound like
a typewriter.

Apart from some kind of joke thing, why would anyone want this?

If I was in charge I would only allow it to be added if it made laser sounds as well as clicky sounds. pew pew pew

I'll admit I kinda like that. Wish the author would post some screencaps.

I had a (somehow) defected keyboard once...I had to press the keys quite hard to get input from them, and to type without looking at the screen (in some situations) I needed this type of app. I actually used (and still like it very much) Tiper, which is also portable, has different sound schemes (no pew, pew, though), you can add your own sounds (go pew, pew), has hotkeys support etc. I thought it would be too much, so I added Qwertick.
Tiper was also mentioned in an earlier post by Island Boy.

I like Tiper and I think the sound scheme "Machine" comes closest to pew-pew

Qwertick is precious but for me Tiper is even better. Unfortunately these days no one creates such tiny great stuff.
