Notepads vs. Text Editors

#1 Post by NewKreation »

These two subcategories seem to belong together(Notepads and Text Editors). For weeks I have been wondering why there was only five text editors, when I know I have seen more than that over the months being added to the database. I did a search and found this second category(notepads).

If it is decided to combine the two categories, I vote to keep the "Text Editors" category.

Well, notepads can be more useful for taking down notes and reminders. I think if anything we should probably migrate entries to the text editors category where it's appropriate. If Andrew gives me the go-ahead I'll start doing this right away.

Which apps do you guys suggest moving to "Text Editors"?

I think the following are possible candidates:

- UniRed
- Orient
- TED Notepad
- Win32Pad

The rest seems to be either simple Notepad-type apps eg. subpad, or apps orientated towards note taking eg. KeyNote.
