Synopsis (authorĀ“s one):
DiskImage is a tool to backup and restore partitions, entire harddisks, usb keys, floppy drives and (read-only) optical media.
DiskImage features built-in zip compression, own compression method for data > 2Gb, MD5 and SHA1 checksumming, hex editor, and various tools like drive speed and seek testing.


Space: about 1.250 Kb on disk (excluding docu-files)

Portable: writes few settings on the registry (general MRU, cryptography, etc.), but not "configuration infos"

License: freeware for non commercial purposes (full featured, as still under development)

installation:
download the setup .exe and unpack it with Universal Extractor. Copy the dir {app} where you want. Run by clicking diskimage.exe

Old topic update: the present is now the official forum topic for Dubaron DiskImage (http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=1059).

Note that DiskImage is now OSS (and abandoned?) -- sources are at http://sourceforge.net/projects/diskimage/.
