webfork on 20 Jan 2016
  • 68KB (uncompressed)
  • Released on
  • Suggested by I am Baas

SendTo MD5 is a small utility to calculate and compare MD5 checksums of files or strings. You can easily check the integrity of files, compare different MD5 hashes or simply check if two files are identical. Additionally, you can search files with specific MD5 hash and benchmark the time it takes to calculate MD5 hash from specific file.

Category:
Runs on:Win95 / Win98 / WinME / WinNT / Win2K / WinXP / Vista / Win7
Writes settings to: Application folder
Stealth: ? Yes
Unicode support: No
License: Freeware/Open Source
How to extract: Download the portable ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch SendToMD5.exe.
Similar/alternative apps: md5hash
What's new?
  • Changed the threading code to use a single worker thread, instead of using separate threads for each file in the queue.
  • Changed the MD5 benchmark output to show more useful and readable info.
  • Removed 'MD5 Benchmark' from the main menu, as it's still not that useful. (Ctrl+B keyboard shortcut still works)
  • Trying to close the application while operation is running, will now cancel all operations in the queue, instead of closing the application.
  • Changed the default highlight colors to be more distinguishable from one another.
  • Fixed a deadlock issue when adding thousands of files to the hash operation queue.
  • Fixed a bug where in rare cases continuing search operation would actually cancel the operation.
  • Fixed a bug where hash search would skip a file if its filename starts with two dot (..) characters.
  • Fixed a bug where canceling a benchmark operation would display an error.
  • Numerous other minor tweaks and fixes.

TorChat is a basic, text-only instant messaging client focused on security and anonymity. It includes availability (away, lunch, etc), optional profile, and avatar. The program requires almost no setup: just share your randomly-generated username (e.g. "bkmworoidjwxz5l") to other TorChat users. These are easily created and discarded to help maintain anonymity.

The program uses the Tor network's hidden services feature to send messages between peers with authentication and encryption based on public key exchange.

Also available for Linux.

NOTE: TorChat has been out of development for some time and connection may require additional steps. Ricochet is an attempted replacement.

TorChat author has moved the project page.

+++ Feb-05, 2012: This project has been moved to github https://github.com/prof7bit/TorChat +++
Further development of TorChat will continue at github, effective immediately. I have not yet decided what should happen to this project page and repository here at googlecode, for now I will just leave it as it is and just not update it any longer, I will mark all downloads as deprecated and eventually remove the project page, close the issue tracker and maybe even commit an rm -rf to the svn repository.

May be it is worth to update the links.

This made digging through a boatload of images I'd built up SO much easier. There's just no other way to navigate thousands of icon files. It almost forms a kind of catalog so I have a clear idea of what's available.

World Clock Portable v8.0

webfork on 30 Jul 2017
  • 9MB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 9 Nov 2013
  • Suggested by Lyon11111

World Clock is a multi-time zone map-based clock that can show you the time around the world. World Clock has an easy to use interface letting you select up to 8 different time zones to display. You can select using the map directly or look up city and country names on each continent. An optional solar terminator and flags over selected countries are also available.

World Clock Portable is a version of the software packaged in the PortableApps.com format.

Category:
Runs on:WinXP / Vista / Win7 / Win8
Writes settings to: Application folder
Dependencies: Internet Connection
Stealth: ? Yes
License: Freeware
How to extract: Download the self-extracting EXE and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch WorldClockPortable.exe.
What's new?
  • Added a button to the Control Panel for users to change the digital clock's 12-hour format for 24-hour format and vice-versa, as requested by many users. This is a major feature as the programming involved to do it was considerable.
  • Corrected a bug in Solar Terminator, one that prevented it from being disabled and saved as a preference.
  • Solar Terminator shape was reverted back to previous shape, as requested by many users. The current shape will not be changed any more due to requests, as this shape is the one most users prefer. This Solar Terminator shape is extremely accurate, but, for your information, is not 100% accurate, because it is impossible to calculate, predict and display the real Solar Terminator shape caused by the sun; however, it is close enough.
  • Implemented Solar Terminator, City Markers, City Flags and Digital Clock Format (12-hour and/or 24-hour format) to the Embed Tag feature, which means these features four features will be automatically included in the automatic generation of the embed tag according to the current user's preferences.
  • Reduced the month's name from, for example, "October 18, 2013" to "Oct 18, 2013", in order to save space in the Time Zone Window, because some month names are bigger than others.
  • Corrected a design issue in the desktop versions for PC and Mac, caused by Adobe Flash Player itself, which created space not used by World Clock and in another color different from the World Clock's default theme - Blue Theme. Now the Blue Theme has the same blue background color within the entire window's background.
  • Added several improvements to design, code and performance.

Excellent program. You can highlight a few important time zones but gives easy access if you want to check somewhere else on the map. Outstanding if you do a lot of international work and need to keep track of time in many different places across the globe.

This one is good for blinky eye-candy on your DT. It works on Win 8, and you can customize the colors. Also, to remove the background you see when you first launch this clock, right click on the clock and go to Options > Appearance and put a check beside Form Invisible.
