Long list of updated programs

#1 Post by webfork »

Went hog-wild with the program update thing. Whee.

---

*Dramatic* updates to one of my favorite programs here at PFW.

FastStone Capture 6.3
http://www.faststone.org/FSCaptureDetail.htm

5.3 http://portablefreeware.com/?id=775

---

Notepad++ 5.1
http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm

5.0.3 http://portablefreeware.com/?id=539

---

Sumatra PDF 0.9.1
http://portablefreeware.com/?id=1193

0.9.1 http://blog.kowalczyk.info/software/sum ... nload.html

Most notable updates on this one:

* improved text rendering - should fix problems with overlapping text
* improved font substition for fonts not present in PDF file

---

Filezilla 3.1.5
http://filezilla-project.org/

3.0.11 http://portablefreeware.com/?id=9

This program is self-updating so I'm not sure how high-priority posting its update is but that's about 4 months worth of updates for a high-activity project on SF.

HOMEPAGE MOVE:

Portable Scribus (http://portablefreeware.com/?id=658) website has moved:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/portablescribus/

---

Rainlendar 2.4
http://www.rainlendar.net/cms/index.php ... &Itemid=30

2.3 http://portablefreeware.com/?id=443

Changes may not be valuable enough yet but its been awhile since

o Added updaterate to xml skins which allows the skin to define how
often the window should be redrawn.
o Added version and duplicate check to the skin addons.
o Calendar control didn't show the selected date. Fixed.
o Window's settings are kept now when they are changed in the advanced
skin options.

Toucan 2.0.1
http://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/toucan

1.2.1 http://portablefreeware.com/?id=984

(Maybe you don't want to list portableapps.com stuff because you assume most users are already looking at it, but this is a dramatic update from the listing we have.)

---

Minor changes but one of my favorite programs:

HD Tune 3.10
http://www.hdtune.com/

2.55 http://portablefreeware.com/?id=182

---

CyberShredder 1.12
http://www.cylog.org/utilities/cybershredder.jsp

1.10 http://portablefreeware.com/?id=202

UPDATES:

* Quicker abort, abandons operation even at the end of a file operation
* File operation progress gauge, shows progress of each file
operation (pass)
* Renames file multiple (26) times, not just once
* Remembers form position

FastStone Capture V6.3 is not freeware.
Pay attention to this note by Andrew Lee:

Note: FastStone Capture appeared to have gone payware starting from V5.4. Since the license agreement does not prohibit redistribution, I have made the last freeware version (V5.3) available for direct download.
