- If what you're getting out of this so far is "the AC speed rating is always a lie," you're not wrong.
- With wired Ethernet, the maximum cable length is 100 meters -- long enough to stretch across an American football field, and then some -- and performance at 100 meters is the same as it is at 10 meters. With Wi-Fi, your range is... well, it is what it is; it's going to depend partly on RF signal strength, partly on distance, partly on obstacles, partly on RF multi-path problems, all of which directly and visibly impact the speed and quality of the connection.
