Ueli - Keystroke launcher
Re: Ueli - Keystroke launcher
It's an Electron app, so lots of stuff in appdata folder:
AppData/Roaming/ueli
and the user folder:
Users\XXX.ueli
AppData/Roaming/ueli
and the user folder:
Users\XXX.ueli

Re: Ueli - Keystroke launcher
is it stealth?
Re: Ueli - Keystroke launcher
It is packaged as a portable app here:
https://portapps.io/app/ueli-portable/
But that stil creates an appData\dictionaries folder and the user folder. User folder probably just cache files, but still, there are better launchers around that are natively portable with no trace.

Re: Ueli - Keystroke launcher
The reasons PenDrive and igec mentioned are why I said "instant pass."
Not going to lie, Ueli does look good, but I wouldn't run it in the background. While it doesn't look as good, I use Executor instead as it uses very little memory and disk space.

Just an update that there is a portable download version now on the Ueli site:
https://ueli.app/#/download
Direct download:
https://github.com/oliverschwendener/ue ... .0-win.zip
As with I think, all Electron apps, portability can be set by using the '--user-data-dir' parameter on launch
--user-data-dir=E:\Apps\Ueli\Data

In that case, will move this to the submissions forum.hamasaki wrote: ↑Mon Jul 03, 2023 5:17 pm Just an update that there is a portable download version now on the Ueli site:

Re: Ueli - Keystroke launcher
Def not portable after running some checks. It creates the following directory with application icons:
C:\Users\xxx\.ueli\*
C:\Users\xxx\.ueli\*
Re: Ueli - Keystroke launcher
Totally expectable, considering prior experience with Electron apps, IMHO...hamasaki wrote: ↑Def not portable...

This program was updated to v8.28.0 in Jan 2024. Now has a Linux build and has seen some MacOS enhancements:
