i needed a font manager that was able to install/uninstall fonts.

Haven't really verified it yet, but that's what it says on the author's site. Bug fixed I'd say.

Oops.. that should be CheckUpdate=0

To stop automatic update create a file called "nexusfont.ini" and place it in a folder called "userdata" e.g nexfusfont\userdata\nexusfont.ini

contents of nexusfont.ini:

CheckUpdate=1

Find the nexusfont.ini file in '\userdata' - go to [Program] - you want 'CheckUpdate=0'

Can this 'phoning home' to Korea be turned off in the program?

Norton Internet Security reports this as suspicious. Will leave well alone until proven as false positive.

I think this is probably the best font manager I have ever used, so lightweight and easy to you. Major Kudos to the author.

I have tried a lot of font viewers over the years, but this is the one I have settled on. Main reasons are: It shows all fonts at once so you may scroll to see any font you like. You may create your own test line. It writes all settings to an INI file, making it completely portable. And last but not least, it's FREE !

FYI.
I had to modify the nexusfont.ini file in the line CheckUpdate=1 to change the value 1 in 0.
To forbid the controle of new version (updater).
But, it's a nice program.

The only problem I have with it, is it remembers font directories by drive letter. So, if I connect my flash drive to a particular USB port, and it opens the drive as letter F: (for example), and then later connect to a different port, it might not work. Windows might give the drive the letter E:, in which case NexusFont doesn't see any fonts.

This is the best little font viewer I have used over many years. I was about to print out the fonts for reference but, even with adjusting to a small font size, my installed ones would require 16 pages.

Great for portables, too.
1. Keep a folder of fonts on your flash drive
2. Open NexusFont and select the Folders Tab; choose the folder on your flash drive, and you will see the fonts.
3. Now, open OpenOffice or many other portable text apps. These fonts will be available to use, even though you did not install them!
Just remember, if you open these documents later, you must have the fonts available to the system, or Windows will replace them with known fonts.

This is a great program. It's quicker for installing and uninstalling fonts that The Font Thing, and displays multiple fonts on one page. I like it better than some shareware programs I've purchased.
