WipeDisk is a tool for secure wiping of hard disks (both logical and physical), USB memory sticks and floppy disks to prevent file recovery. By default, the program will wipe a disk and all it's content, but the program includes a "Free Space" wipe, which includes deleted but recoverable files.

Although the "Low 1x" setting should be sufficient for most security needs, it supports 14 wiping methods for very high security, including US Navy, Airforce, DoD and NATO standards. Higher settings are slower.

The developer also makes a program for individual files WipeFile.

ReadThemAll is a e-book reader primarily designed to be used in a hand-free mode. Although it can be used as a general purpose reader, its main benefits come from its innovative auto-scrolling: a way of reading books so you don't have to manually list pages.

Right-click taskbar, toolbars, add ... %AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch ... Unlock taskbar, untick show text/titles, tick large icons under view, lock taskbar. You can now drag items to this and they'll be added to the RB; right-click lets you empty it, and of course clicking it will open it. Then you're free to remove that damned icon from the desktop. The program can monitor 12 different types of events, execute a program or batch file, or show a pop-up message in case of an event. The program can also write to a text log file and allow the user to watch it's changes live.

"Dirty" portable installation : Install > Tools > Copy to flash drive > Uninstall, leaves many traces to hunt for and manually delete. 2. Free version much too much crippled for my use. Can't publish to eBook, can't export TOC, so can't use to publish anything outside of the program. Word and HTML export don't preserve internal links and can't be easily navigated. Sad, because it offers by far the best text formatting I've found (images, tables, links, styles, etc.). Not a bad product for sure, and respect to the programmer for offering a free version, but if you search for a "simple but just enough options" programs to write and publish lesson notes for your students, just know that you'll have to pay to make it usable / useful. I'll keep searching, having abandoned EssentialPIMFree (not enough formatting options) and Precision Helper (no more developed since ages). Of course, YMMV, IMHO, etc. ;-) Have a nice day!
