InfraRecorder is a burning app that facilitates the creation of data, audio and mixed-mode disks. It also supports erasing rewritable discs using one of four different methods, and copying an existing CD or DVD to another physical disc or disc image.
Supports HD DVD and Blu Ray data and video, as well as to or from a wide range of image file formats (BIN, DVD, IMG, ISO, NRG, etc.) and burns audio CD's from any file type supported via DirectShow / ACM - including FLAC, MP3, MP4, OGG, WMA, and more.
PortableApps version also available.

Help,
I downloaded Infra Recorder, it does not work under SP3 XP. I went to un-install it but it is still showing up in my ALL PROGRAMS and I cannot get rid of it! WHO CAN HELP ME PLEASE??
V0.52
Infrarecorder is not Stealth. It creates the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cygnus Solutions after a disc has been written.
@ hugh_h
Tell me of this junk and spyware you are talking about. I installed it into a sandbox to observe what files it creates and what it does with the registry and I don't see anything else installed beside Infra. Even the install logs does not note anything else being installed so don't make up bullshit.
Anyway, it's rather pathetic how authors provide free software and we insists it must never come with any junk even if it's optional.
Anyway, this is a pretty good software but it would be better if it's updated a bit more often. Most of the time I prefer CDBurnerXP and funnily, the good old version of Nero before it became bloated.
The installer insists on adding a ton of spyware and junk, so this once-good utility is now trash.!!
Also, there doesn't seem to be any support...
Burning speed NEVER works. For Audio CDs and reliablity this is crucial.
Sometimes it fails to create the image required to burn anything at all. On the fly is useless.
I like it, but it lacks big time in certain fields. I'll have to go back to commercial software for now :(
It works great for me on most systems, but on Win 7 Infrarecorder v0.50 changes the registry to Hide Desktop icons. You have to reselect Show Desktop Icons every time you run it.
Infrarecorder NEED to go back to beta and with an easy "1click" log-error submit system.
It may works great to some systems but for the rest 99% it has problems.
I backed up my data on a couple of DVDs using Infrarecorder. It was important information. Most of the data is not readable.
Richard: try Revo Uninstaller (http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1398)
